as title really how much does it cost to get an iphone unlocked??

If you are with O2 it's nothing. to unlock.
If you are still in contract you have to honour that contract though.

there is one on the classifieds for sale on o2 but im on vodafone you see

Ask the seller to phone up O2 and ask for it to be unlocked, if it was on a contract they'll do it for free, in a few minutes.
