Just thinking about this bed-hopping thing made me wonder where people are sleeping. All in the same country? Getting around a bit?
Me -
9 Countries
3 Continents
Rachel
6 countries
2 continents
3 on 2 continents, though if you overlayed europe on Oz it would be significantly more
Fifteen countries so far over three continents woop woop. I suspect a few more to come though will all be Europe from now.
12 countries, 4 continents. Google Timeline is very useful for these sort of checks!
Six countries in three continents.
Only 2 - UK and France. 🙁
Next year should be slightly better.
20 countries
5 continents
New job should restrict that to just 2 countries and 2 continents.
7 countries
3 continents
3 countries in 2 continents. Although the Cornish count Cornwall as its own country so that could take it to 4.
I've only slept in England this year
USA
Canada
Hong Kong
UK
France
I had a bit of a kip in Delhi airport while changing planes but I don't think that counts.
I used to travel with work and hated it. 2 countries this year, France on hol and Engerland.
2 countries. unfortunately for the planet, the other one was Chile

interesting link. Says my footprint is 112% of 'my share', but still better than the UK average.
Last year it was about 80% of my share - the difference being that I holidayed in France rather than South America.
Slightly surprised at the implication - a single return flight to Australia would contribute more to my carbon footprint than everything else put together. Yikes

Fair point, my love of travel definitely doesn't sit well with my wish to reduce my environmental impact.http://footprint.wwf.org.uk/questionnaires/show/1/1/4
One thing that really annoys me is that despite living close to a Eurostar station, if I want to take my bike to Europe it's significantly less hassle to fly. I wish that Eurostar would allow bikes to be taken without being put in a bag (and without the massive fee).
2 continents and 4 countries this year
Last year 5 continents, 20+ countries, and 20 nights sleeping on planes
England, Wales, USA, France, Germany, Thailand, 'nam, Cambodia, Laos.

Facebook and STW bragging rights, and a black mark for greenhousing the planet more than necessary (unless you used a bike and jumped cargo boats).
But seriously, this need to consume leisure and travel is contributing to turning the planet into a Permian dust bowl that won't be worth visiting for the few ledt to visit.
It's ok I've not got kids so my contribution to the forthcoming global Permian dust bowl is slight. Is the Permian dust bowl worth visiting?
Depends if being asleep in my seat on the Eurostar counts and what you mean by country since some sovereign states (The UK being one) are made up of countries...
Scotland, England, Netherlands, France (on E*), Belgium (on E*), (Stupid sleeper fare was 150 so just got the last day train and explored london between trains), Germany (I think it's 3 states in there), Denmark, Sweden, Norway
So that's 9 or 6?
UK, Germany, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Belgium and Spain so far, mostly bike related I'm pleased to say.

Not so handy when you've been to China 🙂
It's been a quiet year:
UK, Dubai, Sweden, China, Thailand, USA (Twice),
3. That'll be Wales and Scotland and home.
3, but only if I split the UK into it's component parts.
Ask me how many in the last 10 years!!
4! 😐
edit - eddiebaby beat me too it.
Quite year, current job no longer gets much travel but a few continents in there, India, UK, Holland, Singapore, China, Thailand and Japan.
1.
I've not left the UK for 5 years, last time I was abroad was September 2012. If we are separating out the UK I had a couple of night is Wales two and a half years ago. Last of the great explorers.
Scotland
France

If anyone wants to purchase a better conscience I'm running quite a deficit. 🙂

Sweden
Norway
UK (full set this year; England, Wales, Scotland, Norn Iron, Yorkshire)
England
Wales
France
and on a Ferry between Belgium and England.
Oh yeah, forgot Wales. That's 3 for me then 🙂
