I've always coveted my in laws Bosch battery mower.
This year though I've wanted to smash it up.
My cheapo mains mower will cut 6 inch grass but I find I'm having to do 2 cuts with the battery mower. It just doesn't seem to have any torque anymore. As soon as a clump of grass forms around the blade it just stops.
Tha batteries are fully charged and a year old.
It's probably lost a cell or two...
Mine is fine, maybe 2 years old now. Really couldnt be going back to a cable mower now
are the blades sharp?
Also check around the spindle for dried grass which could be sapping torque.
Mines (a Lidl special) proper brill. It isn't old yet though. Yours sounds like either the battery is failing, or there's excess resistance in the drive train. Does the blade spin freely? Is it sharp? I should imagine replacement batteries are available on t'web otherwise
