You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I posted up on my Facebook page that I'm selling my stumpy and asked my friends to share and so set to open privacy. Now I keep getting messenger messages were someone asks is this still available or is the item still available? I reply yes and then there is no further response. The message is as part of a group where me and the other person are the only group members. They look like genuine profiles. But I keep getting them with no response back and can't work out what the potential scam is as they are not friend requesting me or asking anything further. I'm worried my profile is being opened up somehow?
Welcome to Facebook marketplace. There’s a button you can press and it instantly sets up a private conversation with ‘is this still available?’ As the opening question.
mouth breathers find the button irresistible.
Those are auto responses generated from a single button push. It's easy to push that button accidentally when scrolling through posts, especially on a smart phone.

This, it's just standard Faceache marketplace behaviour. Wait until you've sold it, marked it as sold and they all start asking you again.

although, three sellers I have contacted on facebook recently about bikes seem incapable of selling them. They can't answer polite requests for information, know nothing about their bikes, and think messing the buyer about is going to get them a sale #minirant
I'll send my courier to collect with payment.

In fairness, some bike companies are like that...
Oh good to hear it's not a scam at least! Got one today that actually asked some questions and when I told him the price said lol I'll pass. If you don't want it or can't afford just say no thank-you. People are so bloody rude!
Excellent stealth ad, let’s see this beauty 😉
