I've found that having an ugly face helps.

I'm actually pretty good now. Got used to scratching an itch with my upper arms, being careful when adjusting my glasses etc. I wear a mask when in shops which is also a physical barrier to the face so that helps with inadvertent face touching.

Obviously it's not just about not touching your face but how you guys getting on with this particular facet?😉

Don't get any chance to practice, as I've not been out and about for more than two weeks now.

For me, it requires a real conscious effort. I especially do it when I'm pondering something, which is quite often. It's a terrible habit and something I'm really struggling to break.

It's akin to not licking your lips when eating a doughnut. I'm just not going out unless it really is absolutely essential. Seen one shop keeper in 10 days.

I find it really hard due to a skin issue. I'm not going out much but when I do I find it easier to use my non dominant hand for doing stuff like picking up groceries. Also regular use of sanitiser. Not sure a mask really helps, people seem to be forever touching them. Might help keep the virus in if you have it, I suppose, so that is better for everyone else

I've learned to distract myself from it by touching other people's faces instead.

When out and about? No problem. I always wear gloves when i'm outdoors between October-ish and Easter- ish. This is something I've always done as I cannot abide having cold hands.
When i'm wearing gloves, I just don't touch my face.

Indoors is another matter entirely. As soon as the gloves are off I constantly touch my face and it's only recently that i've been aware of the true extent of it. If a single virus gets into my house, I'm doomed.

I'm getting good at scratching with the shoulder/upper arms when out. What I'm terrible at is sitting at a computer reading things about not touching your face. 75% of the time I realise I'm propping my head with my hand.

Not so much an issue now at home, but in the office it was always a bit of a wakeup call.

Trying tame my moustache isn't helping me not touch my face.... tempted to shave it all off.

I'm hopeless at it. Reading this thread and now there's about 4 different itches on my face screaming to be scratched. |I'm trying so hard to resist.
And now one has appeared on top of my head!

My daughter has stopped biting her nails so that's a big win from all this.

Ever since I had terrible ingrowing beard hairs 25 years ago I subconsciously pick at by them all day. It drives my wife mad and means I always have a red patch or two on my face, and now it could actually cause me harm to pick.
I've taken to wearing disposable gloves when doing the weekly shop.

Funnily enough as I work in a lab with gloves im in pretty good at it, for fear of contaminating my work with my own dna/endeavour I still caught myself doing it in Aldi yesterday

Just try & do what our health Secretary says rather than what he does

I forced myself to stop rubbing my eyes and picking my nose years ago when I understood that it's the quickest way to infect yourself with a common cold. Result: no cold now since before I bust my CB and ribs in August 2018 and really didn't want to be sneezing. I also take zinc tabs, which is supposed to help strengthen your immune system.

Used to it at work, it does become easier once you break the habit (not biological in our case but nuclear). Not chewed on a pen in years either.

I forgot to say that I also keep my hands in jacket pockets as much as I can when out. It makes you moor couscous of your hands and where they are. Oh..er...

That said, if I fall over I'm going to have a bust face instead as I won't be able to break my fall.Lol
