If you have your prescription do the big chains (specsavers etc.) make the lenses in store?
Ring and check, some Specsavers do them to pick up within the hour, others will send them to a larger branch to pick up later in the week.
Also, you may find they will only use an up-to-date prescription, if its over a year old you might struggle as they will be worried you will return the lenses.
Not sure if they can do lenses to non-specsaver frames either?
Depends upon your prescription.
I get mine from vision express, if it is a standard lense they can make them in 1 hr, last lot i had made were done in 40 minutes but it was a quiet thursday morning.
