[Closed] How do you unzip files?

double click on them is enough on most systems?

What operating system are you using?

windows 7
it's to unlock a phone, but I'll be doing it from the laptop I presume

I read this as 'how do you unzip your flies?'

glenh+1 - I thought this was another shoelace-tying-like enlightenment that would tell me I've been doing it wrong all this years.

Sorry, not to unlock a phone, to get rid of all the bloatware off an EE/Orange phone. Following Scaredypants instructions (from ages ago), failing at the first hurdle.

Should just be a double click. If that doesn't work then install 7zip and use that

Ah, file compression and encryption... part of my day to day job for my sins.

There is a conflict between some files on W7 and using Windows Zip. Not looked into it but suspect its due to the program used to zip the file originally. Easiest workaround I found was as above, use 7Zip.

Unless the file is downloaded and called:

phoneunlocker.zip.exe 😯
