You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Without getting a whole ranch of cowboys at your door selling lucky heather n' all. How do you find a decent driveway installer who isn't a shark nor going to take money and run away? Were in Leeds so we've plenty of horses tied to posts in fields round here. Any suggestions on who to avoid and how you tell?
I'll pull up a chair having decided this weekend to do ours, in Dunblane.
Keep your eyes open. Watch for other drives being done similar to your wishes. Talk to the contractor. Then go and knock on the door and ask for opinions of the guy and his work.
Check-a-trade
Default ask on Paving expert website, http://www.pavingexpert.com/getquote.htm
You can look on Paving manufacturers website for approved installers eg, marshalls or bradstone, https://www.marshalls.co.uk/homeowners/approved-garden-and-driveway-installers or https://www.bradstone.com/find-a-garden-landscaper/
Best bet would be to join the forum and ask on there, you'll get pointed in the right direction.

Will a biking forum do?
Bloody minefield - just had ours done - took 18 months to sift through the chancers who turned up.
Have a look on companies house to cross check businesses
Marshalls/ Bradstone installers should be OK but I could not find one who would do our job.
It was either too big or they wanted to use 60mm blocks when I had bought 50mm blocks or they quoted some astronomical amount.
Word of mouth is your best bet and perhaps have a look at work they have completed.
i can recommend driveways of distinction
thanks. the might be just out of reach, 20 mile radius of our base in Doncaster. Nice to have a recomendation
Yorkshire Pro Paving did an incredible and not very straightforward job for some close friends of ours in Bramhope. It was a good few sqft though.
