Get a bigger rug to sit over it. The weight will keep the other one down.

You don't need to hide behind the facade of floor coverings. Many of us have thought about it.
The thing is though, the approach is a little different to what one might recommend for floor-based curlage.
Put a plant pot on each corner. You're less likely to trip over them if they have quite a tall plant in.
A bit of opposite rolling usually helps in such situations
then put thick sticky tape on theunderside
Stretch rug out and put dumbbells on the corners. Then walk around in steel toe cap shoes and/or have a swear box. 😉
There's an Internet hack for this.
Get an object that is small but heavy enough to keep the rug flat, like a pint glass and place it on the corner of the rug that is curling. Then place a few ice cubes around the object and wait for the ice cubes to melt. Once the ice cubes have melted your rug should lay flat.

We've got a dangerous slippery wooden floor with a large rug. It sits on a piece of non-slip netting sticky type stuff, but this non-slip netting stuff has to be the same size as the rug.
Or, is it possible to turn the rug over and iron the corners back down (don't do this if it's a really expensive silk woven type rug).
