Other than the obvious electric fence under the duvet - any tips on dissuading moggies from bed wetting?
hmmm, is moggie unwell?
If moggie is fine, close the door 😉
rub its face in it and throw it at the wall.
and change your sheets more often you dirty begger.
I can't believe people let these creatures in the house, can't you get some kind of trap? or a gun?
After the first incident they're not allowed upstairs, but I forgot to shut the door and within 2 minutes one of them was pissing on the duvet. NB this is the 3rd time as well, something about the Duvet they really like...
Ours has done this a couyple of times, was advised it may have been triggered by stress.
It has had a serious fight or two with next doors cat, I suspect this preceeded the 'events'
The solution laid in said next door neighbour running over her own cat, job done! No more problems since. RIP Bella 😯
Spey/neuter/euthanasia?
Possibly in that order 😉
You need to piss on the duvet. Show it who's boss and that you own the duvet.
I've heard of people laying kitchen foil to stop cats spraying/weeing to mark their territory...they don't like the noise/sensation when walking on it.
Probably not a long term solution, but a strip along the edges may make the cat think twice about jumping on the bed.
Rub lion sh*te on the duvet.
IanMunro - Good tip, will suggest that to the GF!
Get a lion to p*ss on the bed. Simples!
Bah. Beaten to it
Sometimes it's the only solution

Did it belong to one of you before you became a couple?
Might be telling the new partner who's boss, in which case time for a new cat.

Absolutely Supertramp, disgusting isn't it?
But, to answer the OP, Sack + Brick + Canal!
APF
put a stuffed dog on the bed sorted
Wash the duvet.
See a vet.
Catnip Flavoured Doberman?
Threaten it with netto catfood.
Has this only recently become a problem? Does the cat go out?
alexpalacefan, 🙂
Piss on the cat!
Cats are newish to house (6 weeks ago from Blue Cross) and are now 7 months old, but seem ok with cat flap and crapping in the garden. One of them just seems to like weeing on the duvet....
Is it weeing or spraying?
This was on Google for weeing
Here are some useful tips for stopping your cat urinating inside:
1/ Make sure your cat doesn't have an underlying medical condition
2/ Place litter boxes in areas where your can often sprays, to remind them that the litter box is available.
3/ Place food, or something with a lemon scent where the cat sprays. This will discourage the cat from spraying in this area.
4/ To stop your cat from spraying in sinks and bathtubs, place some water in the bottom of them.
5/ Leave your cat in the laundry or bathroom with a litter box, food and water.
6/ If you think something that the cat can see outside is causing the cat stress, block visual access to these areas by closing curtains etc.
7/ Use positive reinforcement when the cat urinates in the litter box.
As for spraying its normally a natural territorial thing, stress related or they feel threatened by another scent, are you quite musky?

More that one cat in the house ? .......it's a classic need to mark a distinctive place in the house as its own territory. And yes it's stress related.
The solution is fairly simple although a tad expensive :
The stuff works - trust me. If I were you as well as the plug-in (which works best and is long term) I would also get the spray version and spray your bed with it. When things settle down just rely on the plug-in.
Shoot the ****er in the head with a Glock 9mm, if wont **** with your flower beds again.
Come gather 'round people
Wherever you roam
And admit that the waters
Around you have grown
And accept it that soon
You'll be drenched to the bone
If your time to you
Is worth savin'
Then you better start swimmin'
Or you'll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin'.Come writers and critics
Who prophesize with your pen
And keep your eyes wide
The chance won't come again
And don't speak too soon
For the wheel's still in spin
And there's no tellin' who
That it's namin'
For the loser now
Will be later to win
For the times they are a-changin'.Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don't stand in the doorway
Don't block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
There's a battle outside
And it is ragin'
It'll soon shake your windows
And rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin'.Come mothers and fathers
Throughout the land
And don't criticize
What you can't understand
Your sons and your daughters
Are beyond your command
Your old road is
Rapidly agin'
Please get out of the new one
If you can't lend your hand
For the times they are a-changin'.The line it is drawn
The curse it is cast
The slow one now
Will later be fast
As the present now
Will later be past
The order is
Rapidly fadin'
And the first one now
Will later be last
For the times they are a-changin'.
wtf??? 😯
you better start swimmin'
Or you'll sink like a stone
just how big is this cats bladder?
Have you got more than one? They don't like sharing litter trays especially when ill. We had to lock ours out when he was ill as we had both on our bed and it was once a day if the door had been left open. We closed all doors apart from to utility room where the trays were
What Ernie said.
It's all about Power and Control, it always is with Cats. Pecking order is very important to them. She feels lower, so has to put you below her by peeing in your sleeping area.
My Cat did this briefly as she came out of being a kitten and I had another Cat too then.
The Vet advised the Feliway thing to make her feel good, make a big fuss of her, feed her before yourself or the other Cats etc generally show her that she is the boss.
Worked a treat, has never done it since, best behaved Cat in Scotland.
Weve always had 3 and to be honest it's only ever been the males who did it. Only got females atm and none of them do it, althouhh they do piss in the bath which is a little strange but easy to clean.

Could well be this then...

...our friends had the same with 2 male cats from the RSPCA, both spraying in the house...vet visits & feliway did not resolve and in the end they had to re-home one of the cats. Shame, but it did sort the problem. Well, 99% sorted.
We've acted as cat-butler for up to 3 at a time, but only ever one male and not had any spraying problems so far. Cats always spayed / neutered at about 6 months.
wtf???
I don't know either. I won't lie.
