There would be no fees. This isn't certain however as I often pay for stuff using the personal payment option, which also has no fees.

What do you mean by no fees, sorry if i sound stupid im quite new to paypal, i asked for £10 as and i received 10, does this mean he has sent as a personal, as i received the full amount and no fees were taken out?

It means they paid the fees - if you ask for 10, and receive 10.

Just check though, paypal says 'you've received £10' and then in your account balance it shows a gross £10, if you delve into more detail you can see it isn't net. Your balance is the easiest way to tell, if your balance is up £10 then you're fine.

If you log in, click on 'view all transactions', then 'all transactions with balance', then it shows you gross, fees, net, and balance figures.
