Fancy watching the downhill on my TV rather than my phone.
I have a sharp smart TV and want to install the red bull tv app. I have googled it but can't seem to get it to work.
Can it be done? how?
Was simple on my Samsung - does this article give you any pointers -

otherwise, it's a chromecast job. Worked well via that on my old telly.
thanks, but seems my tv is different
I managed to get google play open but I get an error message that I don't have any devices attached
Doesn't sound right, does yours not link to it's own app store where you can install things?
DezB does your Samsung still work? Mine used to but now when I try and launch it nothing happens other than it spins for a bit. I have removed it and reinstalled but no difference. Via Chromecast I can use it but get a bit of picture break up probably from my cheapo phone, remembered after watching this weekends WC that the Xbox has the app and that still works perfectly.
I'll try it later. Not long had it installed to watch that brill Freeride thing, The Moment.

it does but it only lets you install apps they recommend, there is no way to chose others
The red bull app is absolutely awful... you will end up slamming your gentlemen vegetables in the fridge door in frustration..
I was watching via a Samsung casting app, but the recent DH just didn’t work,,,, lots of other stuff did though,
anyway don’t be surprised if it’s terrible..
Yep, tried it again last night. Worked fine.
It is a bit crap - you click the app and it just launches a random show of it's own choosing. There's no menu to select, so you have to close it and launch it in a different way (can't quite remember how) to get a menu. But it does work, even with my shite broadband.
It's a better experience to fire the iPad app up and cast it, to be honest, but the convenience of smart tvs eh...

On my Samsung TV it plays whatever is live on the channel and you click 'down' to bring up the menu (should be a little down arrow on screen). The navigation / organisation of the content isn't exactly intuitive though..
Ah yeah, probably the same on mine, cheers 🙂
