I'd like to copy colleague numbers out of my work phone and store them on my MacBook. Is there an easier way than going through them all, one by one?
I've tried copying the phone contents to the Mac but nothing is readable.

https://www.android.com/filetransfer/
I keep everything in Google Contacts - it's then available everywhere.
you can usually export and then import
I'm been trying android transfer and exporting them. Pretty sure I've got the files out, I just can't read them.
Have you tried exporting them out of Chrome desktop rather than Android? Don't know if that would give different results.
I know nothing about Macs so sorry if this is a dim question but, what are you trying to import them into? Some sort of Mac-based address book? A text file? A spreadsheet? What do you plan on doing when the phone gets new numbers added, does that matter?
You shouldn't need to touch the phone at all. If you log in to your Google account from a web browser on the Mac, there's an Export button where you can save it as a CSV (unformatted spreadsheet) or a couple of other things. If they're not synced up to your account then, well, is there a reason why not?
Select your contact on the phone.
Click on the share button.
Choose text.
Choose whatever you prefer. E.g. email, etc.
Done.
One of the best things about Android is you don't have to use specific apps to access things. You can even plug your Samsung phone into your Mac and access any file you like, just like a USB drive. I do this all the time. Love Apple omputers but hate their phones.
Just looked on mine. As a one-off export, open the Contacts app on the Samsung, select the contacts you want to transfer (you can select all if you want to), hit share, pick a method of getting the .vcf file to your Mac (email?)
Then on the Mac, open the .vcf in the Mac Contacts app.
The only issue is this is a one-off transfer. If work allows it, might be better to sync to Google Contacts and you can then sync to that on the phone and Mac and it will stay up-to-date automatically.
