You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Hi chaps,
Our factors at the housing at we live on do very little, and don't respond to our asks for stepping up and doing more for us.
Does anyone know the legal position of whether or not we can sack them, and hire new factors?
Cheers
Ricks
I sacked the factors for my flat, that might have been a bit different though as the factors were also an owner of one of the four flats in the building which they leased out. Had to get a letter from each of the other owners agreeing to it and that was that. We just have a kitty now and arrange everything ourselves but now we get to bill the original factor for their 25% share.
Edit: now I remember recieving something before we sacked them that the rules/laws were changing and they would no longer be factors but building managers or some such thing. In Scotland so rules may be different.
have a look at the contract.
