Anyone know what this is?

I was told it was called a pineapple plant, because it looks like a pinepple top, but googling for pineapple plant just returns actual pineapples (which this isn't, of course).

I don't have pics of the plant itself.. looks like some kind of yucca though although there's no 'trunk'. Just a load of sharp tough leaves coming out of the ground.

Leaves remind me more of something out of of the lily family and the flowers are somewhat similar to a day lily.
Edit: see link https://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1T4GGHP_enUS424US424&q=day+lily+picture

Looks like Billbergia nutans to me, also known as queen's tears or friendship plant because it is easy to propagate and give to friends. A type of bromeliad.

Nice one, thanks 🙂 I was given a cutting by a friend so that's appropriate 🙂

Get @flowerpower on here the forum name is no coincidence. But I'll laugh my tits off if she can't name it...

Try googling 'Billbergia Nutans' and look at the images.

Is a form of bromiliad.

Then please let Surrounedbyhills know if he's at risk of losing his tits 8)

EDIT - just read whole post, well and truly beaten to it 😳
