Big birthday coming up and I'm looking for accommodation for a weekend in November.

Ideally, it would be one big place with lots of en-suite rooms, but I'm open to all suggestions

Will be a mix of adults and young children.

Oh and some of them don't do hostel / camping bark type accommodation 😕

Edit: Location - Lakes / North York Moors / Northumberland

Edit 2: A hotel may work, but would need to consider the implications of leaving sleeping kids in rooms by themselves if there were other folk in the place.

There are websites specialising in large group accommodation houses.

Prepare to draw a sharp breath when you hear how much some of these places cost for a weekend. 🙂

Indeed, budget is around £2k - I have a smart arse mate who has come up with a couple of options in Tuscany 😐

See if the Landmark Trust have anything big enough?

They have some fun places for special occasions - self catering, but very well equipped, and impressive buildings.

We've just come back from 4 nights in a mini castle in South Wales, which was pretty spectacular(only slept 6, though.)
