We've just had a major build done on our house/chalet/thing-we-live-in... so not in a position to go abroad this year for holibobs.
I was just thinking about the concept of house swapping to get away somewhere on the cheap.
Anyone here do it?
Private arrangement or company?
Hide all the saucy stuff, or just have a 'clean after use' policy etc etc??
It would feel a bit odd, I admit, but people do it don't they (house swapping. HOUSE)

We used to offer our old Killin house to friends, family, friends of friends and colleagues.
We never had an issue (bar one family who ignored our 'no dogs please, mrs_oab is allergic to the hair...), and the house was always left spotless, with a cake/bottle/pressie left. We must have had 20+ families and couples stay over the 5 years we were there, whenever we went away for a week or weekend.
We have now looked at doing it formally, and I know a few people that have in Europe, again without issue.
