Duplicate - sorry!
Meh. It happens and you end up developing a kind of peeping through your fingers approach; you are excited, but you can't show it in case the universe decides to mess up your day.
Have a pint.
It's happened to us a couple of times - I know it feels horrific at the moment, but when you do get a place the feeling will quickly melt away.
As per crikey, have a couple of gins.
Then start looking again when you're ready.
Same happened to us a week ago. It seemed too good to be true when they offered the full asking price, looks like it was 🙁
Sold mine before Xmas, but our vendor was struggling to find anywhere they wanted.
My buyer didn't want to wait and pulled out ... I put my house back on the market 5% higher ( as I didnt think there was any rush ) and accepted about 3% higher on the first weekend it was back on.
Still waiting on my vendor mind.... but it's the only house we want.
If it doesn't happen, no worries happy where we are
Things happen for a reason (not sure what that reason is though). Look at the bright side, better these things happen early in the process, rather than later on when you have invested time/energy/money in the sale/purchase.
Happened to us on a sale and purchase, pain in the Victor Hugo, but hope you manage to proceed in the end with a reliable third party.
