Hotmail tells me I need to manage my storage from 1st Feb. Which I assume means pay for data. I don’t think it’s a scam (external to hotmail anyway) as it’s a banner in the outlook app.
Anyone else get this?
When you log in is there not a bit on screen that tells you your usage?
My Gmail is showing 8.5gb of 15gb used. (its's at the bottom of the emails list).
What I do from time to time is search for emails with attachments over a certain size and delete any that are more than a couple of years old.
I use the outlook app and also proprietary iphone mail interface rather than web.
Apparently I get 5 gig and I’ve used 6.5. No recent large emails so am a bit confused unless it’s a new thing
I noticed this a week or two ago. If you used the Mesh app back in the day, now one drive, it includes those files as well. If you login to the website it gives a breakdown. My emails take up about 1GB with oncedrive photo backups taking up the other 14GB.
Someone’s got to pay for that new 32gb USB flash drive Hotmail just bought to store all their customers’ data on.
Anyone else get this?
Yes, I've started deleting 12 year old work emails with loads of pics attached.
I get the message but when I try to check the usage it looks like I'm under!
I'm getting it.
Trying to delete loads of old stuff, particularly with attachments that I'll suddenly really need next week
Where does it tell you how much you have used? Have had email for .... well not sure but cant be long after it started, so must have used loads of space.
Just out of interest, how much spam does everyone get ? I get roughly 20 spam emails in 24hrs. Luckily it goes to junk, but then I spend ages every so often blocking it, just for the process to start again
If you login via a browser, go to 'My Microsoft Account' there is the 'Microsoft Storage' option. This gives you a good overview of what is using up your Microsoft allowance (free account here I get 5GB 2GB used so far all email.
@funkydunc yes I'm getting 20-30 spam landing in junk at the moment. Trouble is makes it harder to spot the odd one that shouldn't be in there.
