Any recommendations for somewhere near Moortown ? No more than 10-12 mins drive
Family room doesn't need to be exclusive as only sleeping there- reasonably safe area to leave car though !

Only about 10-15 mins away (depending on whereabouts in Moortown you need to be!). North of moortown, up in't posh bit of Leeds.
Moortown is only 4 miles from Leeds city centre so dont rule that out. I am a bit further away and can get in to town on my bike in 20 mins. Have a look at the Village hotel in Headingley.
They have Uber in Leeds
You can stay anywhere reasonably close to your family.
Have you checked Premier Inn, Travelodge etc?
I'll echo TomHill's comment about the riding my local loop goes down the side of the Parkway hotel. Local dogging spot close by too 😉
