We're off to Brighton for 3 nights next month, I used to live just along the road in Worthing but haven't been back for about 12 years.

Has anyone stayed anywhere nice recently? Hotel, ideally not a chain, reasonably central, extra points for something unusual?

Ta
🙂

Try the White House in Kemptown, really nice owners and its very clean and tidy, if they are open or Charm Hotel in New Steine. Both highly recommended.

@VanHalen - no availability, next time though 😀 I've seen that before but couldn't find it.

There's another one similar with themed rooms I think, one of my friends stayed but I can't remember who it was to ask them.

drakes is lovely - hotel du vin is pretty nice as well.

probably best to get the train down with either, parking's a nightmare

both are very very boring and traditional though. might as well get a travelodge and save some money for cocktails at the black dove (or similar) if you are going that route

+1 for Drakes & way better than a Travelodge, we stayed the other week & used Tesco vouchers via hotels.com

Drakes booked.

I’ll book something quirkier next time, turns out there’s not loads of availability at a few of the recommendations. Probably should have booked someone sooner.

Refundable booking too in case I find something better 🙂

Harbour Hotel in Brighton....

Massive spa downstairs.

Had been recommended to me by several people. Unfortunately when I was in Brighton at the end of November it was closed.

Rates are surprisingly reasonable..

@alpin looks nice but starting at £250/night is a bit over budget.
