Going on a ferry via Dover next month - any recommendation for a cheap hotel with parking somewhere convenient for the port?
Ta
Premier inn by the docks, if you book more than 3 weeks ahead it is only £29.
Unfortunately it is just short of three weeks 'til we go 🙁
Ramada inn just outside Dover. 6 min drive to the docks, £99 for a double.
Keep away from the County!!!!!
You won't go far wrong with the premier inn in whitfield. easy to find, loads of parking. pub over the road

There are stacks of B&Bs right next to the port, and Dover is littered with B&Bs and hotels but the town really isn't up to much so there is no benefit staying in town
That's not cheap ( the Ramada)! And we need a family room. I can get a Travelodge room but it is first come/first served limited parking 🙁
I can't help but be careful. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels all over the world and have never ever been in anything as bad as a hotel I stayed at in Dover, can't recall the name but it was one of those right by the port. I didn't have a lot of choice, I was travelling back from Berlin in a truck and the driver had run out of hours so we were stuck for the night.
Loads of premier inns around dover, I just booked a room at the folkstone one ( less than 2 weeks time) for £49. Loads of parking and a pub next door.
there is a newish holiday inn in Folkestone, a travelodge I think right by junction 13
Cheers all - booked the Premier Inn - just a mile from the port so the best solution as the ferry leaves at 6.30am. Yack.
