I managed to bend my front brake lever in a crash. The beauty of hope stuff is that i now have a spare blade coming to replace it.

As i understand it i need to undo tje cirlip to release the blade take off rhe cam and re assemble. Stupid question do i need to drain the system first?

Don’t forget to remove the grub screw that holds the lever pin in place.

Don't forget to swap over the brass plunger in the lever blade that indexes the reach adjuster screw & you'll need to swap the reach adjuster screw over too.

This can be a bit fiddly to install as you have to wrestle against the spring a little bit, the lever is in two seperate parts, bite point adjuster is on one part, reach adjuster on the blade part with circlip to remove, when re-installing you have to hold both parts of the lever together and make sure the spring ends are located properly in the recesses while lining up the hole to push the pivot pin back in, that little clip for the pin never seems to be the same once you've removed it.
You can get those silver pivot pins in colours now btw.
Brass plunger ? Eh.

Slight hijack but can you use these with SRAM Code calipers? I've got the RSC levers but I've run out of pad adjustment - pads still got 3/4s left on them but there is too much lever throw.

Need to either work out how to set them up when I bleed or see if the Hope levers will work as when I had those, the adjustments actually worked very well.

Yep, two brass plungers with a coil spring between them that give the detent response for the adjuster thumbscrews.

My bad, are those brass plungers a relatively recent update, I've just got a spring, unless they were wedged in and didn't come out on mine.

Always been part of them but often stay put due to the grease.
