No more Pussy Galore
Have fond memories of escorting her to a black tie charity event in Bath in the mid 90s. RIP!
Not quite the same as Philby but she was a great friend of my step mother who also trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
I only met her once in Oxford on Boxing Day 1989 at the former home of Frank Cooper, and then lived in by John Dewey Professor of Structural geology at University College Oxford.
My Father was then Professor of Neo Tectonics at Bristol, there was a slight air of professional rivalry.
She was utterly charming and although 64 my god she was captivating and if ever there was the phrase “she could hold a room” Honor was the epitome of it.
You have to consider she was nearly 40 when cast as a sex siren in Goldfinger which I think is testimony to her beauty/charm.
Not many of her type left I’m afraid 🙁

Remarkable woman, many achievements overshadowed by the Bond role
I'm sure I remember her from the Avengers before the Bond role.
Yup, Cathy Gale. Prior to Diana Rigg's Emma Peel.
Absolutely lovely lady. I spent 3 years as cabin crew after uni in 99 to 02,she was a frequent flyer on the Malaga flight. Without fail, the politest, kindest passenger, no airs and graces and regularly boarded the flight with bags full of chocolates and sweets for the crew.
The absolute definition of class.
RIP.
...and that voice. Gorgeous.
