Afternoon

my Keen's pong. Wash them regularly, spray with various products, but honk comes back after a few days. They are closed toe type, with leather uppers (Newport?)

They are a good few years old - I see the curent ones have some sort of treatment to prevent this, but I don't know if mine do

Anyone got any newer ones? Any experiences? Honk free or "get those blardy things out of the tent£?

thanks

nip down to your supermarket and buy some bicarbonate of soda. (usually 80p)

put approx one heaped tablespoon of bofs into each shoe and shake to disperse the contents.

leave shoes to de-pong for a couple of days.

then you can vacuum out the excess bofs from your shoes.

and voila!

cheers

yeah - I read that somewhere

I'll give that a go.

How long does the de-honk last?

you mean how long between 'treatments'?

a dose of bofs brought my saturated, rotting trainers back to life and that must have been a year ago at least.

...though i am now much more careful with my footwear.

best to play it by ear...i mean[i]nose. lol.

You need to glue in some odour eaters. I have two pairs of Keen sandals and without these, they stink beyond belief. And I don't get smelly feet with any other shoes.
