Jazzes are simultaneously nice cars and yet forever associated with grannies and driving at 20 below the limit

cvt - no idea but early adoption of "new" car technology is a bit of a punt

(had a mate years ago who had a reliant of some sort with cvt. it was blisteringly fast from the lights, for about the 1st ten yards)

Up until recently a mate had a Jazz and a Porsche 911 GT3RS. He didn't mind driving the Jazz. Still got the Porsche though.

I've had a couple as a courtesy cars and it is what it is; deceptively big, very easy to drive, low cost (in a small car way) and slow ( had to check that it wasn't a 1.0). A good city car I think.

We've had a jazz for the last four years. Just a basic 1.2l fella. Best car we've ever had. Ultra reliable (touch wood) good economy and masses of space.

We got me, my wife, two kids and my mum in one when we went on holiday this year. A bit of a squeeze but all good.

If you're after a really practical small family car they can't be beaten IMO

Shit that its got the gran association as its an amazingly executed car.

In some countries its seen as cool. Jazz has bad connotations as a name.

We have one. Excellent car. Loads of room with the seats down. Can fit 2 bikes in the back with ease plus loads of camping gear without an issue. I managed to get 6 large rolls of loft insulation in the back whereas the father in law only managed 4 in his Shogun.

We have had a Jazz for 8 years. In that time it has needed new tyres, brake pads, battery and - er that is it. Nearly 100k miles and i can't see us getting rid any time soon. Simply a fantastic car.

Simple, nice to drive, excellent build quality, spacious and although not quick, it is good enough. Oh - and about 45 to 50mpg

I drove a CVT Jazz once a while back. Can't remember the engine size.
I preferred it to most regular auto cars, as you don't get that pause you can get on a conventional auto when your speed is mid way between two gears and it isn't sure weather to go higher or lower.
It had a manual override where you could select 6 pre-determined ratios with steering wheel switches, but the full continuously variable auto mode was far better.
Seemed to me like a good small car that can carry far more than you would imagine.

Ive driven a manual 1.2. It wasnt slow.

Ive also driven a CVT 7speed flappy paddled one (both old model and both good.)
