We have house insurance for building and contents etc.

We have been looking at Home Care Cover. We have had a letter from British Gas for these 3 areas;

Central heating breakdown and cover
Plumbing and drains cover
Home electrical cover

Any where else worth looking at?

This is one of the tasks given to me by my partner. I am not going to waist hours of looking around, so I thought I would ask the STW's first!

I don't think any of them are worth it.

IMO you would be better off putting £25 a month in an account and use the money there to pay for any repairs.

Yes, any insurance like this is going to, on balance, benefit the seller of insurance. Better to put money aside if you can.

Ignoring the "it's all a con factor", Homeserve are currently doing free work for keyworkers. Work which, in some cases, British Gas had quoted weeks of lead time for.
