evening all,

wondering if anyone has any experience of those DIY cameras. After my garage got tanned by some bad boys and bike pinched think i might put one up on the side of the garage to get a view of not only it, but the driveway etc.

Something like this foscom or this hikivision.

Ideally it would auto upload to some cloudy place, and obv have "an app". everything needs an app....

any experiences out there?

Always found the software on the Foscam ones to be a bit ropey - it might have improved in the last 2-3 years though.

I now have Arlo from Netgear. It's Spendy but it works well.

They are about to release some nest cams that are waterproof for outdoor use, I'd be inclined to wait for those.
