If you prepare and bring your own lunch to work and you're in an open plan office environment, what's your poison for taste, convenience, lack of smell? I'm fed up of fruit and brekkie bars but don't really want to crack a buttie box open of corned beef sarnies in front of the whole office.

Eat whatever you damn well like! It's really nobodys business but yours, and even if it smells a bit it won't last.

Wait. You have a cereal bar for lunch?!

What about the starter and main?

I have sandwiches or wraps. Ham and mayo or similar. Exciting huh?

Nothing beats the all time low of my colleague microwaving kedgeree.

The office seemed envious of my Sainsburys microwavable Spicy Mexican Rice. 50p well spent.

Other than rank cheese or pilchards in the microwave, eat whatever the hell you like

Half a tin of chickpeas drizzled in olive oil and balsamic vinegar, half a red pepper (chopped up), some baby sweetcorn and some sugar snap peas, and some salad leaves.

But not eaten at my desk, that's what staff rooms are for.

Big open plan office, I make a salad, with a bit of ham n cheese in it. Can't eat sandwiches, they stuff me out too much.
Then I stink the place put with a nice juicy orange which usually sprays across the quad onto another desk.
Oranges smell nice though.

Or make some fried rice the night before then heat it up in the morning using microwave, store it in a heat retention container that will retain heat for up to 6hr and take it to the office. Eat during launch break. Easy. 😀

Mackerel & chick pea salad for me. Then an apple to cleanse the palate!
