It is renewal time again. I am with pedal cover, however they limit personal possessions in the car to £1k (excluding bikes). We have just been away for a week in Scotland and with various outdoor kit in the car it easily adds up to over a £1k. Even just a couple of waterproofs, cycle helmets, camera (nothing special), rucksacks, tent, footwear etc it adds up to way over £1k.

It would be very unlucky to loose the lot, but possible if say the car was stolen, but are there any recommendations for insurance companies that give a decent amount for personal possessions away from home, and covered in the car. Pedalcovers take on it was you could park your car in a bad area and it is a home contents policy!!

Any help appreciated!

We had been with M&S for years and that was decent, then the renewal went up by a daft amount and we went with Hiscox, I can't recall the details but we have good away from home cover.

You'll need something a bit more bespoke then - I never leave anything in cars. There are way's round it, good d-locks to immoveable objects would cover the bikes, but not in the car.
