Last year - 380
This year - 683

80% increase!

Manged to get a renewal at 515.

So only 36% increase.

That's without any claims in the last 10 years.

The village did get absolutely hammered by Storm Arwen in 2021.

Aviva here

Last year £410

This year £440

7% increase, which is very fair given everything that's going on

I think we're all getting hammered by the claims for storms/floods/AoG - not just those that had the misfortune to have to put in a claim.
If El Nino does its thing, as predicted, I fear this could get worse.
Mine went up as I'm within 100 metres of a 'body of water'; it's the village pond and is approx 6 feet below the level of my property. I did argue that it would flood all of the surrounding countryside before it got up to the level of my house, but they didn't care. It's just a question on a form that immediately puts the price up.
