My pedal cover renewal has just come through, its gone up in price a fair bit....
also the shed cover has been made worse than it was, we can and do keep the nice bikes in the house, and I get that a shed isn't very secure, so I get why they have restricted it more....

Anyway, before I just suck it up and renew, should there be anyone else that gives good bike cover in home insurance?
Ive been through a few processes, but they all take forever until you get to the end, and then paw through the fine print to find they only cover bikes less than 2 hours old, and cap it to 20p unless you sleep with them chained to your wrist inside fort knox 😉

To be fair the pedal coverage is excellent on paper at least, I have never needed to test it out. I am prepared what it takes for good coverage.

Before i loose the will to live, any recent positive experiences with companies that offer good cover?

Did mine with Barclays this year. Up to £5k for the most expensive bike then all the others are covered. Couldn't see anything particularly sneaky in the small print. Its pretty standard home cover but the bike bit seemed ok to me.

I looked around after our PedalCover went up a fair bit, but in the end I couldn't find comparable cover for any less money with everything taken into account.

We tipped over a contents value threshold between last year and this year and the PedalCover premium jumped significantly at renewal time. Had a good look around, and had similar to Blazin-Saddles - couldn't find anything the same level of cover for similar or less than PedalCover.

Barclays paid out after my Spitfire snapped out of (pathetic) 2 year warranty.

Have you asked PedalCover why its increased?

Ours renewed recently at it was very similar so maybe there is a particular reason?

Changed from Pedal cover last year to Aviva, will see what's about at renewal time.

I found Neos, who have a very straightforward quoting system and are quite happy for you to add whatever bikes you want for a reasonable overall price and comes with some smart security stuff.

Found them after pedal cover decided a wooden shed wasn't secure enough, despite the timber being 3"thick and having a ground anchor built into the structure.

Was about to ask this question as PedalCover emailed to say their postcode based system will no longer cover me. Didn't realise I live on the wrong side of the tracks...

Will check those mentioned above, ta.

EDIT: Barclays looking good! About £200 less than PedalCover last year.

We've been with Aviva since M&S went silly. Pedalcover were always far more expensive.
