You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I'm with EDF and they have mailed me today offering a couple of fixed price tariffs; estimates based on my past usage show the 12 month fix to be £13 cheaper per month and the 24 month fix to be £6 cheaper, making the 12 month fix better value unless prices go crazy in 12 months time.
What's the group-think on this?
The prediction is that the price cap is coming down in April (?).
As an ex EDF customer I had the same email but I'm sticking on octopus variable
I'd say not - prices are meant to be coming down by 14% in April.

Octopus offering a fix at the April price cap decrease with £0 exit fee. Can't go wrong with that
Nice Simon.
Cornwall Insights are forecasting a further reduction in July - from memory, about 6%.
eon Next have their 'pledge' tariff which is guaranteed to be £50 beneath the cap; it's available to existing and new customers.
That, to me, is a much better deal than the Octopus fix at the April cap.
EDIT: the July forecast (described as a 'weak prediction') is for a 12% reduction. Crystal ball gazing for October is a possible 4% increase.
