Hello

Any good home brewers on here ? I really like "Brew Dog" Elvis Juice (Grapefruit infused IPA), and want to have a go at a similar homebrew version, any suggestions ? I used to make a great Elder Flower wine so know the basics of brewing. Thinking of getting a decent IPA kit and using a vodka soaked grapfruit peel infusion towards the end of the brew ? any good starter suggestions that's fairly easy to follow. I have a few demi-johns, airlocks and barrels etc

Thanks

Brewdog released all their recipes so you should be able to find the real deal.

Thanks Ranos I did look but don't want to boil a mash. Looking for a nice simple starter kit really.

Ah, ok. Your kit link looks like a good option. Once you have your eye in you could try brewing from grain.

Homebrewing is about trying things out and having fun with it, so first and foremost you should give it a whirl. Vodka-infused grapefruit peel on top of an IPA kit though? Stomach's turning just thinking about that. Happy to be proven wrong, like.

Homebrewing is a different to winemaking in the sense that it's far easier to get good results - you can brew really good quality ale without resorting to throwing the fruits of the forest in there. Wine-making is all elderflowers, gooseberry champagnes etc because it's next to impossible to make a drinkable red at home. But with the ale, you could make a really citrusy beer just on a hopped extract probably [ie buy the malt extrat but boil it with hops of your choice].
