feeling the need for a little homebrew, but sssh don't tell anyone idave diet connected, anyone recommend a kit or a recipe (and indeed an online shop as my nearest home brew centre, judging by the bare shelves, is sadly running down the business)?

i like things like Indian Pale Ales and darker ales.

thanks

you can make well good stuff out of sugar and yeast just deslove as much sugar in a big water cooler filled up 4/5 of the way, put a airlock on top wait about 2-3 weeks put in another bottle to settle for a few days when clear drink )

Brupaks "Linthwaite Light" Yorkshire style light ale is rather nice, I have some bottles clearing at the moment

I have no idea what they're like as an online store though, as I have 5 or 6 decent homebrew shops within 30 minutes drive of where I live

surprisingly good, got to let it clear though, wine yeast is best, very sweet and dry :0

but it's just water sugar & yeast???

a low-quality beverage that is consumed mainly for the sake of its alcohol content.

I think I'll stick to beer 😉

well for the smaller budget, try one of the "basic" beer kits. For a tenner or less, 40 pints of beer in about 4-5 weeks.

That's 25p a pint for proper beer, just made by you rather than a commercial [s]chemical plant[/s] brewery
