Hi all,
I'm not quite angry (yet) and trying to maintain a phlegmatic composure given the insignificance of my plight compared to many others, but I am unable to successfully contact anyone at Landal Greenparks (Hoseasons) to action my refund.

Background:
In 2019 I booked a chalet for May 2020 at a cost of £1044 - COVID forced a cancellation and I choose a voucher to rebook
Re-booked for May 2021 on the 5th May 2020
Cancelled this second booking in Feb 2021, due to COVID reasons. Email received stating that I would get a full refund (T&C's back this up).
The webpage stated that "Your booking qualifies for a refund and that it would be no later than 14 working from original departure date."
It's now 45 working days since our original departure date.

Question is how to proceed? No one answers emails or the phone (obviously!). I paid for the original booking on my CC but the rebooking from their voucher so more than likely I can't go down the Credit Act route.

ABTA? Are they any good? I'm not on social media and I REALLY don't want to join just to chase these buggers down.

Any experience / advice gratefully received.

Thanks,
James

Is it worth contacting Hoseasons instead of the park?

Speak to your credit card issuer about Section 75 first - but just to find out what your rights are. I had this with Eurotunnel - which was refusing to refund or rebook at one point last year. My bank were great: Can you use the thing you paid for? No? Well, we are happy to refund you under Section 75 if you'd like. As it happens, Eurotunnel had changed its policy, but I felt much better going into the conversation with them knowing that if they couldn't issue a refund or voucher I'd be able to get my money back.

Thanks all. I'll try alternative routes in and speak to the bank. Cheers.

I have had great experiences with Hoseassona direct. Did you book with Hoseasons? If so, talk to them and not the park as they have more weight/options to get things sorted. The hoseasons website has a contact us phone number and they normally answer the Qd calls with 10-15 mins max (my last call to them was last week, prior to that May 2020 and March 2020)

I had a booking with hoseasons cancelled by them, rebooked somewhere else using the voucher and that was also cancelled by them. Got the refund back to my CC minus the £120 in tesco vouchers i used first time round.
Quick email to tesco and got the points put back on clubcard account.
Your booking should have been with hoseasons rathet than the individual park

Just a thought, have you had your CC renewed since you made the initial payment ?
They might have tried to refund to a defunct card
