Hi in the midst of planning a holiday and need some advice, we went to Japan 14 months ago had a blast and now planning our next big trip ( for us) of 16 to 21 days away. I would like to go back to Japan but not this trip so has anyone been to
South Korea, love the film's so I suspect a zombie apocalypse with so e huge monsters eating Seoul .....apart from that what is there.
Taiwan, besides bike manufacturing any thoughts?
Or
San Francisco, seems accommodation is mega mega expensive ( even by Japanese standard) and where else would you go. I am not a wine drinker and not a fan of the film sideways.
All help welcome,
Cheers
Not just San Fran, but a Nor Cal road trip! Connect up San Fran, Yosemite, Vegas, LA. The driving is stunning too, especially Highway 1, aka the Pacific Coast Highway.
South Korea & Taiwan are bou quite small for 3 weeks.
^^ I like Dantsw idea - but of course you'd need to check you can do what you want depending on the time of year you go (ie, much of Yosemite can be inaccessible in the winter).
Cali road trip?
Start in San Diego (don't miss this part, lots do and they're fools, it's an amazing city)
LA (personally, I'd spend as little time as possible here)
Santa Barbara
Monterey
San Francisco
And then maybe a Vegas/Grand Canyon chaser.
Lovely.
Lunge - agreed re SD. We only missed it as we’ve been before & the kids wanted a day in Universal. We did it all in 10 days 😳 3 weeks better.
May for San Fran
Sept/October S Korea/ Taiwan
No! Anytime in SF. We did it mid August due to school age children. No issues with the heat or being too busy.
Re Cal road trip and did folk stay? B and B? Apartments? Hotel? Motels? Air b and b? RV?
Hotels & motels. In SF we stayed across the GG bridge in Sausalito - get the ferry to downtown, it sails past Alcatraz
