Thinking of going to Wales next summer. Previous few years we have been to Keycamp style holidays in France and looking for something similar, not wanting to go to France this year as will have a newborn along with a 3 and a 5 year old.

Somewhere with a pool complex would be good and of course mountain biking would be great although not primarily a mtb holiday.

Any suggestions?

Had looked at this place

Cheers had already discovered Bluestone, looks a big step up from the caravan parks. Don't think the British can do caravan parks like they do on the continent.

valleydaddy any info on the trails?

just looked the bluestone site. nice looking place but bloody expensive. Mid july £700. The next week onwards, £1400!

Hmm, Im guessing we dont start a discussion on taking kids out of school for early holidays in here eh? 😉

I spent my last two summer holidays at Trecco Bay in Porthcawl. It's very close to Afan and not far from bike park Wales. The facilities are excellent and the little one loved it.

Advantage of living in Northern Ireland, kids finish school end June so we can get cheaper deals start of July.

I went to Trecco Bay this year (Parkdean camp) and it worked out well though I'm probably a bit too middle class for it really.... Anyway, wife and 3 yr old were kept amused by the facilities whilst I went off on my road bike quite a bit. Beach is good and close - we were lucky as had great weather so was a good week. Evening entertainment is pretty good really.
