Any one do any Hojo Undo? Class is off until 10th Jan so need to do something.

Thinking about getting some dumb bells and using one like a chi ishi, but thinking maybe I could make one with a broom handle and some cement in a bucket? anyone tried making their own?

Go to the gym and do proper weights? Go for a walk, a run or go out on your bike?

I've never seen the point of Hojo Undo, other than as an extension of traditional practice.

Makiwara is the only thing of that list which is usefull. The rest is outdated and of no use. There is no benefit to pounding your hands into rice/sand any more (unless you are a bare knuckle fighter which i doubt).
The results can be achieved with general training now.
