Volume on the laptop?????
Separate volume controls for Bluetooth audio muted would be my first guess.
Open volume control from the system tray and click the icon at the top.
Make sure bluetooth device is selected for output.
(Ps. I've discovered how to shut the Ba-BOOM noise up when starting the Jam Heavy Metal - just tap the on/off button again. 🙂 )
tthew - can you expand on that please?
Ta.
DezB bluetooth device selected.
It's bugging me now!
Are there some volume controls in whatever application you're using to play music (assuming that's what you're doing?)
Er, it was just a guess, I was expecting you to do the leg work! 😳tthew - can you expand on that please?
OK, try opening the Control Panel, (not sure how you do that on Windows 10, probably use the Cortana search or something) open Sounds then you should have separate controls for different devices, like the built in speakers and your blue tooth speaker.
tthew - can you expand on that please?
Right-click on the speaker icon in the system tray, it should give you a mixed panel.
Can you pair it with something else as a test, make sure it's not broken? Your phone maybe?
Bluetooth on Windows is garbage. It all looks good from your screenshots.
Now get a 3.5mm jack lead and plug the Jam into the laptop's headphone port!
Sorted 😉
Right-click on the speaker icon in the system tray
Gives "playback devices" on this here old Win7... might help.
