Nicked this off facebook but I found it one of the more entertaining chain emails etc.

Hit and hope design? ...it works!

1 - Go to "wikipedia." Hit “random”
or click http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random
The first random wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.

2 - Go to "Random quotations"
or click http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3
The last four or five words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album.

3 - Go to flickr and click on “explore the last seven days”
or click http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days
Third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.

4 - Use Photoshop or similar to put it all together.

Here is my efffort. Bronislaw Zurakowki's masterpiece:
[img] [/img]

Anyone up for it?

😛

Nice - keep em coming.

I was bored so I did another.

Personally I thought this album was over hyped, but the artwork is nice. 😉

No photoshop or Flickr, but 'When The Government is Wrong' by Siege of Puebla will knock Girls Aloud off their queens of pop pedestal

Hehe, that's the weirdest one I've seen. I have been thinking about making the Bronislaw Zurakowski album. 🙂

it's interesting how all the results thus far are fairly plausible in every aspect. pretty good method and one that i'll bear in my mind when i get my big break.

NME completed trashed them, but Jo Whiley rates these guys very highly.

WCA, my thoughts exactly

I always thought putting together songs was easy, it was the inspiration i stuggled with, this is genius, even I could knock out an album a week using this!

Recently played a session on Radio 3's World Music Handshake late on Monday nights. The distintive percussive rhythm of Goyu Matafele's belly slapping has often been likened to the melodic body playing of the late Simba Mnanayo. Pencilled-in to support Bruce Springsteen at Glastonbury this year.

Shouldn't 'absurdity is not a handicap' be our collective motto on this forum?

Some great albums there!

i'm collectively cheered by the photoshop workmanship on show as well - real consideration for the image and the text is shown in the layout of these!
