Quite partial to a bit of the ol' Edan.

As a recommendation for something new I've only just realised this albums nearly 10 years old. I guess Hiphop doesn't date as fast as it used to - although not quoting the date in every track probably helps. Fresh for 88 you suckers.

Bit of quakers is nice too

Here are a few few albums as suggestions(the videos are tracks from the albums). None of them are straight up alt-hip hop but are some of my recent favourites.

Pillow Fight - Pillow Fight - 2013
Dan the automator (producer behind dr octagon) and emily wells . Its not hip hop but worth a lisen if your a DrOct/Deltron/Handsome fan.

No Malice - Hear Ye Him - 2013
former member of the Clipse and would probably have previously fallen under your class of gangsta rapper. he has now found christ and his albumms about self-improvement and repenting his past. These couldn’t be any less gangsta if it tried.

CAS - The number 13 - 2013
London MC playing with a mixture of different imageries in his lyrics. content mainly revolves around street level drug dealing and being a faceless undead deamon.

Tyler the creator - Goblin - 2011

Goblin was a massive let down.
If you want a Tyler album, it's Bastard. free - Here

Was listening to this on the way to work this morning and thought I would share, Shame the Devil is a very good album.

Also forgot to mention Delegates of Culture in my original post plus Carasel is worth a listen.

Nice thread, missed this last week. Think these have all been mentioned aside from Dalek and Peeping Tom.

Peeping Tom - Mojo

EDIT – Clean version misses some of the best linguistic gymnastics 🙁

Dalek - Eyes to Form Shadows

mmmm, nice and dark.

Wu Tang Clan with added ponies as it's Friday 😀

I'm a big Braintax fan too, but it really grates that he (by all accounts) buggered off without paying the folks on the LowLife label. Harry Love's certainly pretty miffed at him.

20syl
Apollo Brown
Oddisee
and the new Slimkid/Nu,ark album are getting played here at the mo.

The new Nextmen Check Mate mix is well worth a listen too, far from just hiphop
