Planning to leave the bike behind and go hillwalking tomorrow, starting at Victoria Bridge and doing a couple of the Munros from there.

Just wondering if there's much snow up there just now? Mainly to know whether it's worth the extra weight of crampons and ice axe.

Not quite the right area, but I was up Schiehallion yesterday and there was little to be seen anywhere. This is the Carn Mairg group from the North (i.e. snowy side).

The eastern Mamores definitely still had big patches in their eastern corries, although one or two of the tops were clear. It was thawed enough that kicking steps was easy and I reckon you would have sunk instead of slid! We also did Garbh Bheinn above Kinlochleven which only had the tiniest patch in a sheltered spot.
