IMO she's finished, I didn't think Trump would get the nomination at the start but he only got stronger

How is Trump doing in the key demographics of women, non whites etc. And in the key states? Still miles off?

I seem to recall one of the greatest US presidents did it from a wheelchair and fought a war whilst not entirely in good health.

There have been any number of old or infirm leaders but in the past. We're in a soundbite social media world now.

Indeed Dan there was a great cartoon years ago of two old blokes on a park bench having a conversation "We are at a difficult time of life, too old to work but too young to be a world leader"

BTW could you comment on this if you have time - how do they change a plane tyre ? Have asked my BIL who works for United but I assume you have all this covered

@mike we will know the answer to that in November. Campaign is very polarised with both candidates very unpopular with core voters of the "other" side. Sadly however I think Trump is going to win.

We might but at present he is way behind (it's amazingly well documented) . He is also more unpopular and has to convert votes amongst people he has vilified. He has a lot further to go than hillary had to loose.

Only 11% of African Americans polled had a favorable view of Trump, compared with 69% who saw Clinton favorably. Fourteen percent of Hispanics saw Trump favorably, compared with 58% who were inclined to like Clinton. Similarly, LGBT people, unmarried women and Muslim, Jewish and Asian Americans preferred Clinton to Trump by margins of more than 25 points.

I think it'll be closer than the polls suggest. I'd say there'll be a lot of people who may reticent to declaring their support for him but who will vote. There could also be a "brexit" effect where Hilary supporters assume the work is done so don't vote, and every old gimmer on their death bed drags themselves out to vote for Trump.

The facts are that increasingly so shes been suffering from a plethora of serious conditions

I haven't seen any facts confirming that she is suffering from a plethora of serious conditions. Somebody saying "I think she's suffering from a serious medical condition" is an opinion, which is fine, but repeating an opinion on the internet doesn't make it a fact.

When most arduous jobs have a retirement age of 65, why do we have a 68 & 70y/o as presidential candidates? Quite frankly, I'd struggle to find 2 Americans less fit/suitable for office.

Trumps mental state needs to be taken into consideration here too.

@mike amd @mikey as I said the only poll that matters is the one in November.

I do wonder if she's even going to make the debate, if so she's going to get a total mauling from Trump. I am beginning to think he will ask her straight, "did you have a stroke" ? If she says no he's going to go after the number of outright lies she's told before

nah he'll more than likely do a really bad taste impersonation of someone having a stroke and then laugh it off as a joke

the blokes a twunt

but then weve seen how much damage they can do

Unless they agree with you, although that is the important one the others give indications of where things stand. Trump has to make a lot up.
if so she's going to get a total mauling from Trump.

Unless he gets a lot of serious media coaching the one thing Trump is likely to do is look like he is unable to be a statesman, at worst look like nothing more than a schoolyard bully who only has 3 lines. If the debate is properly run he will be put on the spot on policy - So you want Mexico to pay for a wall, why didn't you raise that with the Mexican President?
Maybe a bit personal like how many companies did you bankrupt costing Americans their jobs?
How much tax did you pay? Where are your tax returns?

If he sticks to all out attacks based on gossip then the only people who he will win over will be the ones who already support him. He needs to expand his support.

I've noticed Clinton is what we call "glaikit looking" in several shots over the last few months. I put it down to her scripting, ie adopt a delighted look here, now look surprised, nod your head here, sort of stuff.

But maybe it is because she is afflicted with something.

However if her mind is working ok, what is the problem? As mentioned here previously you can do the job from a wheelchair and conduct a major war.

🙂

I do think the deplorables remark is a mistake, like calling Leavers racists it just hardens their resolve and their feeling that yhe other side (Clinton) are not on their side

If Wikileaks is an independent organisation it shouod be balanced.

More importantly Obama and Democrats have done Wkileaks no favours at all.

shermer75

Why has wikileaks got it in for HC?

Um, maybe something to do with 21 million dollars she made talking to bankers? As pointed out in the article Bernie was constantly demanding she release transcripts of those talks. She refused.
