I managed to stretch my commute and rack up my highest ever commuting miles for a week, 157 with 3650 ft of climbing over the last 4 days.  Probably close to 50% off road thanks to Richmond, Bushy and Hyde Parks and the Thames path.  Pretty pleased with myself and slept well last night.  Hopefully get a pass for a few hours tomorrow as well!

What was your highlight of the week?

All in all, a pretty dismal week of strange illness, but last night was pretty great. Can’t really say what it was though. nudge nudge 😉

Mine was breaking two PB’s at the gym. Really chuffed with the progress I’m making at the moment.

Mine was my first commute since March due to two emergency operations (march and June). Over a 21 km commute, only 3 mins slower than when I stopped so pretty pleased.

The fact I wasn't in Dudley as I was last week.

Had coffee with the father of a Team GB and Sky rider. Very encouraging.

Also got to watch the highlights of the Track World Cup that I missed when it was first broadcast at the end of October. During the day. When I would normally have been at work.

My second velodrome session in two weeks, less wobbly but a bit smoother, and although half the group overtook me at the beginning of the final run, I'd overtaken most of them back again after 15 minutes - hare and tortoise.

Aiming for level 2 before Christmas.

I'm a bit envious, as I had just started on the track before my accident, and instantly loved it. If you get your level 2 before Christmas, post it on here and I'll celebrate with you.

Which velodrome?
