Mrs North - a lady currently 6 months pregnant and continuing to (literally) do the jobs of three people - has been called into a meeting this afternoon and told that a HERA (no, not a hora) has been carried out on her, and she's now going to suffer a 10% pay cut.
I have never worked in HE, so know nothing of the ways they carry on (though it strikes me it's like the public sector without the job security), but this strikes me as being somewhat unilateral.
Can anyone tell me more and explain why this is not automatically unfair?
