Struggling to find a high level brake light camera that will fit a tailgated Custom, they all seem to be either the half light for the barn doors, or the number plate light replacement which will be too low for using my trailer.
There is a high level one for the Big Transit, which looks a similar shape to the tailgate brake light on the Custom, but it would be nice if anyone can shed any light (lol) on the matter.
Try searching brakelight camera on ebay etc. Should come back with something

Can't you just use a drill and make a round hole to fit a standalone camera into your existing brake light housing?
Get one that's over 100 degrees field of view so you can see the rear bumper all the way up to the horizon.
Mine had the camera fitted but I first fitted an extra 12v lamp to help reversing in the dark
