HiFi is one of my passions in life and I have built up what I consider to be a good system over the last 30+ years.
None of my friends are into it at all. I want to listen to other systems in a relaxed environment (not in shops) to see if what I have can be improved without necessarily just spending more and to meet like-minded people - sort of tinder for cycling 'audiophiles'.
I'm in Twickenham if anyone is in the (relatively) near vicinity and fancy meeting. A meeting of hifi and bikes could possibly be my nirvana! As I'm injured at the moment and not riding I've massively stepped up listening to music.
Not sure if it's really relevant but my system comprises of:
Amp: MF Nu-Vista M3
Phono: EAR 834P
Turntable: SME 15 with SME IV arm and Lyra Helikon
Streamer: Linn Akurate DS
Speakers: Wilson Benesch ACT C60 with WB Torus sub
Cheers

It's called avforums
Yes, but they're probably not into bikes hence why I'm trying on here
Nice idea. I'd like to play but I'm oop north.
Lots will depend on the rooms that people have their stuff set up in. Plus furnishings etc.
Thats a nice rig, I'm fan of Tim de Paravacini kit
It is indeed a nice analog set up. I’m in Horsham and have a similar level system built around a digital front end, And would be happy to entertain you here if you wanted to hear what a roughly equivalent digital source could sound like. Set up is as follows:
Server - LDMS Mini+
DAC - lampizator golden gate with psvane 300b tubes
Preamp - Concert Fidelity CF080SLX3
Poweramps - silvercore 833c mk2 monoblocs (SET design, 30 watts per channel)
Speakers Horns FP10s
Let me know if you are in Scotland.....
I have:
Sony CD Player (Naim CDX sold some time ago)
Naim 82 Pre
Naim Hicap
Naim 180 Power
JMLabs Speakers
I LOVE it! The 'attack' of some recordings is incredible. Just waiting for funds accumulation to purchase a Naim DAC and streamer, probably a Bluesound Node or a Project Stream Box.
