Is there any way to actually get in touch with either of these. I mean speak to an actual person, not a web-bot, nor a list of phone options that ends with a polite suggestion to start a web-chat with a web-bot.
Yes I know they are 2 different companies but both seem as adept as each other at hiding actual contact details so either will do as I booked a MyHermes service though parcel2Go.

Yep, just sends you down a standard set of options then either tells you the tracking info which I know already, or asks you to start a web-chat.
With Hermes, if you listen to the tracking info there is a phone option to speak to a person.
Evidently I have had to get on the phone with them recently (not that it helped)
Royal Mail arn't much better. When I eventually got through on the central number after a 20 min wait, They tried to phone my local sorting office but I was then cut off whilst waiting.
Shite service.
