Letraset, anyone? There’s a shop selling vintage stock!

I definitely fit the demographic. Was a graphic designer/design for print monkey in the mid80s-90s*. Hated the stuff then, deffo not paying inflated prices for it now 😉

Eurostile. Although you were more likely to be using a sheet of Microgramma if using Letraset.

Early 80s I had access to decent scanner at one agency I worked for and spent a lot of time scanning every new sheet ovzletraset we bought. I still have so many chests of type sheers from different foundries and type agencies.

I used to make ads up for the magazine I worked for using letraset, 1979/80-ish.

One advantage of Letraset/Mecanorma was being able to properly kern display text! I still see badly kerned text which has me (metaphorically) grinding my teeth in annoyance! Seems nobody gives a toss, but I worked with someone who was obsessive about good typography, and learned a lot from him over the thirty-odd years we worked together at three different companies.

I must admit, I found sitting doing a load of Letraset stuff almost therapeutic. 😎

Ha! I recognised that straight away. Used to label all of my video tapes with it. Oh dear, what a sad man.. especially as I’ve still got them all 😂

Weird thing is, can’t for the life of me remember where I used to buy letraset sheets from. Certainly wasn’t an online shop!

I think I've got some burnishing tools somewhere.

Reading this reminds of Dymo tape; is it still in use - possibly in a vintage/retro way?

Correct x2. Luckily I do have a few better (and hopefully more accurate) memories of those times!

I don’t remember anything useful though!

There‘s a guy at Cotic absolutely loves the stuff. Seeing it in use does make me smile in a way a printed label wouldn’t, I have to admit.
